Welcome to the oldest craft at the White Pine Logging and Threshing Show!
I have been the potter at the White Pine Logging & Threshing Show for more than ten years. I give pottery throwing demonstrations and lessons and also have pottery available for purchase. I am located in the building just past the saloon and barrel making shop.
Lessons are offered throughout most of the day on Saturday and about fifty percent of the time on Sunday. Due to the large number of participants, lessons will be limited to one per year. There is no charge for the lesson but a suggested donation of five dollars would be greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of materials. All pots will be trimmed, fired and glazed and brought back to the show the following year with your name and year engraved into the bottom of the pot. Since accidents do happen from time to time, I offer no guarantee that your pot will survive the firing process, but generally about 99 percent of the pots make it back the following year.
I will be looking forward to seeing you at the show this year!
